Orange County, California - Things to Do

Segerstrom Center for the Arts -

Formerly the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, provides Orange County with a dynamic showcase of nationally and internationally renowned performances in music, theater, and dance. The Center includes the Segerstrom Hall, it's largest venue, as well as the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, and the intimate Founders Hall. 

South Coast Repertory Theatre -

A beautiful indoor venue, South Coast Repertory Theatre brings classic, modern, and avant garde plays and performances to life. Recent stagings include Topdog/Underdog, Elemeno Pea, Pride and Prejudice, The Trip to Bountiful, The Borrowers, and Four Clowns. Three venues are part of SCR: the Segerstrom Stage, the Julianne Argyros Stage, and the Nicholas Studio. 

South Coast Plaza -

Made up of three levels, a Village, and the Arts & Cultural Center, South Coast Plaza is a favorite place to visit for those who love the good life. Shopping, dining, performance arts, and more await you at this Costa Mesa, California favorite. There are even carousels for the kids. Come and explore all that South Coast Plaza has to offer.

Orange County Fair & Event Center -

The OC Fair & Event Center is a classic county fair facility with modern innovations. Events are held year round and include such favorites as Food Truck Fare, the Farmers Market, the Orange County Market Place, and specialty events like gun shows, tattoo conventions, decorating shows, and gem fairs. The OC Fair itself is held over one month from July 13 to August 12. 

Pacific Amphitheatre -

Located on the Orange County Fair Grounds, the Pacific Amphitheatre Summer Concert Series is a popular annual Orange County event. Shows give access to premier concerts and sometimes coinciding Fair Ground attractions such as food concessions, rides, and games. 

Bowers Museum -

Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California, just 7 miles from the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa hotel, celebrates world cultures through the medium of art. Orange County's largest fine arts museum was founded in 1936, and its permanent collection includes works from Native American, Pacific Islands, African, pre-Columbian, and Asian art. 
Fashion Island, Costa Mesa, California

Fashion Island -

Home to premier department stores like Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's, as well as chic fashion boutiques and specialty stores, Fashion Island is Orange County's destination open-air shopping experience. This elegant shopping center is over 1.5 million square feet, and features beautiful fountains and waterfalls, bronze sculptures, and an Italianate gazebo. After shopping and dining, take in a movie at Island Cinema. 
Angels Stadium, Costa Mesa, California

Angels Stadium -

The boys of summer and the fans love Angels Stadium of Anaheim. Home of the Angels American League baseball team, the ballpark was renovated in the mid-1990s, bringing into up to date and ready for 21st century professional baseball games. Tours of Angel Stadium, which was partly designed by Disney Imagineers, are available on Tuesdays during the off-season, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the regular season. 
Honda Center at Costa Mesa

Honda Center -

Located in Anaheim, California, the Honda Center is home to the NHL Anaheim Ducks ice hockey team. Disneyland -

Comprised of two theme parks, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, plus Downtown Disney, and two resorts hotels, the Disneyland Hotel and the Grand Californian, Disneyland Resort is a premier American destination for visitors from all over the world.   

Irvine Spectrum Center -

The Irvine Spectrum Center is an Orange County shopping and entertainment center with over 130 retail shops, entertainment venues, and restaurants. In addition to stores like Target, Macy's, Nordstrom, Sur la Table, L'Occitane, bebe, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21, patrons can dine at quick casual eateries or full services restaurants, or take in a movie or live comedy club act. 
Knott's Berry Farm, Costa Mesa, California

Knott's Berry Farm -

Knott's Berry Farm is a sweetly wholesome theme park the whole family will enjoy. The park offers a variety of attractions including Camp Snoopy for the little ones and roller coasters and thrill rides for the big ones. Dining, shopping, water rides, and live entertainment are also part of the Knott's Berry Farm fun.
